S. Carling Springs site plan - Voice tree concerns near Lubber Run Park

The County will be giving a on-site presentation on the development plans for about half of the 11.6 acre site to be sold to the Virginia Hospital Center to build a 126-bed rehabilitation and “health-wellness facility”. Local community members were surprised by the lack of advance notice of the letter of intent for the sale. The community will have an opportunity to “voice their views” at the meeting at 601 S. Carlin Springs Road. Some concerns regarding the quantity of trees that will be lost and proximity to Lubber Run Park have been expressed along with lack of clarity about further plans for the property. For more information go the the County webpage.
