With no natural enemies, white-tail deer have overrun County land and are wreaking havoc on our ecosystem. Native species are being lost because the deer have ravaged their habitat. Our forests cannot regenerate themselves because the deer have eaten all the saplings.
Having conducted two studies over the past two years on the impact of white-tail deer on the County’s Natural Resources, the County acknowledges that there may be a problem and they seek feedback on how to address it. Let the County know it needs to address its deer problem in a way that maximizes preservation of our tree canopy!
Please provide feedback to the County by July 1318. Learn more about the County’s deer management project here; and provide feedback here.
Thanks for all you do for trees!
