ATAG renews declaration of Climate Crisis

Speaking recently at a County Board meeting, ATAG renewed its support for EcoAction Arlington’s request that the Count declare a ”climate change emergency”. As EcoAction states, “Put more bluntly, it feels like our house is burning down and no one is noticing.” Trees can make important contributions to mitigating climate impacts as part of a comprehensive County-wide response. Let our leaders know your support for an “all-hands-on-deck” commitment in government operations and resources to empower action on this existential threat. See our November 6, 2021 letter to the Board here and contact them with your demand for immediate execution at countyboard@arlingtonva.us and countymanager@arlingtonva.us .
