ATAG Exposes Upzoning’s Devastation of Tree Canopy in Local Media

Thanks to continuing efforts by ATAG, local media outlets are beginning to recognize and report on the historic change to residential zoning proposed under the County’s “Missing Middle Framework” that will severely reduce the tree canopy. Scott McCaffrey, who has been covering this story as it developed, has written a comprehensive article in the Sun Gazette noting ATAG’s analysis quantifying the damage to air, water, and natural resources as well as opposition to the current Framework from the Board’s own advisors on the Forestry and Natural Resources Commission.
