Regarding Accessory Dwellings:
I am against any changes that would allow bigger building foot prints on permeable land, any changes that would allow tree removal to accommodate such buildings, and use of these out buildings for rental. Such changes would also be a stress to neighboring properties and their trees too.
I am in favor of anyone redoing the interior of their existing fooprint home to create rentable space.
Please protect our permeable land from more runoff issues and protect the tree canopy in Arlington from further destruction. Do not change the zoning to create accessory dwellings.
These would not be “affordable” either, considering the cost of construction and the going rental rates.
